JDO recently announced the completion of a new strategic financing round of more than RMB 100 million, with participation from Huamintou, Zhangke Yaokun, Jinyu Maowu, and Dianliang Capital. The funds will support AI innovation, research on JDO's automotive AI system, expansion into further AI application areas, and its global plans. JDO sees the investment as renewed recognition of its technology and prospects in automotive AI from industry and capital markets.

Based in Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town in Shanghai, JDO is an AI technology company centered on domain-specific multimodal large models and agent technology. It is recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, a Shanghai-based specialized and innovative enterprise, and a Shanghai Science and Technology Little Giant enterprise. Its accumulated intellectual property, including invention patent applications and software copyrights, exceeds 500 items.
In the AI-defined vehicle era, JDO has developed its JDO Canghai large AI model and completed a filing with the relevant Chinese authorities. It has built an on-device–cloud system around AIOS, AI Agent, and AI Cloud to provide AI solutions and full-lifecycle services to automakers. Together with strategic partner Zhipu AI and China UnionPay, JDO announced what the companies described as the world's first cockpit-native payment Agent. They said the system links vehicle-use and travel services into a continuous experience, from a request through to completion.
To date, JDO has worked with more than 30 automakers in China and overseas, including Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Renault, Ford, SAIC, GAC, Geely, Great Wall Motor, Avatr, Voyah, Xiaomi, Tata, and Mazda. More than 15 million vehicles are in volume production and operation using its products, while signed projects cover more than 40 million vehicles. JDO has more than 400 ecosystem partners and describes its consumer data business as an industry leader. Revenue grew at a compound annual rate of nearly 70% over the past five years, and the company reports sustained profitability. Its investors include Tongchuang Weiye, Qualcomm, Jiantou Capital, and Suchuangtou, among other institutions.
JDO will make its automotive AI system a research priority in its next stage. Drawing on world models and physical AI, it aims to develop multimodal perception, interaction, and function execution inside and outside the cockpit. The proposed system would combine vehicle-wide adaptive perception with interaction and end-to-end execution, coordinating functions and services across vehicle domains based on user needs and driving context. JDO's goal is a proactive, vehicle-wide AI experience capable of understanding users and carrying out complex tasks across use cases.
JDO is also accelerating its global plans. It is adapting its solutions and delivery capabilities to languages, driving habits, and service ecosystems in different regions to support automotive AI applications in more markets. Since the beginning of this year, JDO has won more than 70 new projects across China, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. Winning and delivering projects in China and overseas provides a basis for continued AI development and commercialization.
