JDO recently held its second-quarter 2026 patent awards ceremony in Shanghai, recognizing and rewarding 34 employees for their contributions to patent innovation. The recognition covered 68 invention patents: seven have been granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and 40 applications have been accepted. These achievements add to JDO's intellectual property portfolio in core technology areas and reflect its research and development activity in intelligent cockpits.
A supplier of automotive cockpit AI and digital solutions in China, JDO has made independent research and development and intellectual property planning central to its competitiveness since its founding in 2014. It is recognized as a national high-tech enterprise and a Shanghai-based specialized and innovative enterprise. Research and development staff account for 70% of its workforce. JDO provides end-to-end intelligent cockpit solutions to a range of mainstream automakers, serves more than 30 automakers, and has deployed its products in over 14 million production vehicles. Its technology work spans intelligent interaction, cockpit system integration, adaptation to multiple use cases, and in-vehicle large AI models. Its continuing patent output reflects its commitment to technology-led development.

The ceremony recognized the work of JDO's researchers and developers and formed part of the company's effort to build its intellectual property portfolio and encourage innovation across its workforce. Through a structured patent incentive program, JDO encourages employees to identify ideas in their day-to-day work and turn frontline research and development into valuable patent outcomes, supporting both the accumulation and protection of technical know-how.

Looking ahead, JDO will continue its work in intelligent cockpits and in-vehicle AI, expand its patent portfolio, and encourage employees to develop high-quality inventions that can be put to practical use. It plans to refine its digital cockpit products using on-device and cloud-based large-model capabilities, translating technical innovation into product competitiveness, supporting automakers' digital transformation, and contributing new ideas to the intelligent automotive industry.
