On January 19, JDO, an international provider of advanced automotive cockpit AI and digital solutions, signed a three-way strategic cooperation agreement with ThunderSoft, a leading global provider of intelligent operating systems and on-device intelligence products and technologies, and Rightware, a leading global supplier of automotive graphics software tools and services. The collaboration aims to combine the three parties' core technologies, ecosystem resources, and practical deployment capabilities to address the disconnect between tool development, system integration, and use-case implementation. It will provide automakers worldwide with end-to-end, full-stack intelligent cockpit HMI solutions, advancing in-vehicle visual interaction toward immersive, context-aware, and personalized experiences and opening a new chapter in collaborative development across the intelligent cockpit ecosystem.

Since its founding in 2014, JDO has spent more than 10 years in intelligent cockpit digitalization, building core strengths across the full chain of “technology R&D – practical deployment – operations at scale.” R&D staff account for 70% of the company. JDO strictly follows the A-SPICE framework and holds ISO9001 and ISO27001 certifications and TISAX assessment at the highest level. It has accumulated extensive experience in context-based in-vehicle interaction design, lifecycle operations, and production delivery. To date, JDO has delivered more than 100 automaker projects and serves over 30 automakers in China and overseas, including Audi, BMW, Porsche, Toyota, and BYD. With contracts covering more than 40 million vehicles and over 400 ecosystem partners, it has established distinctive strengths in coordinating context-based services, adapting personalized interfaces, and delivering localized solutions globally.
As a global leader in intelligent operating systems and on-device intelligence, ThunderSoft entered the intelligent vehicle sector in 2013 and now offers products and solutions across the intelligent vehicle lifecycle, including intelligent cockpits, intelligent driving, vehicle operating systems, and central computing platforms. The company also actively deepens strategic cooperation with leading global businesses, building an integrated industry ecosystem spanning “underlying chips – operating systems – applications – cloud management.” With strong technical capabilities and a comprehensive ecosystem, ThunderSoft has helped numerous automotive customers worldwide develop products for future intelligent vehicles. More than 50 million vehicles globally are now equipped with its extensive and highly personalized intelligent vehicle products and solutions.
As ThunderSoft's core business specializing in automotive graphics software, Rightware has extensive technical expertise in the field, and its flagship Kanzi tool suite is an industry benchmark. With advanced 3D engine technology, these tools efficiently deliver immersive 3D visuals and cross-system, multi-display connectivity while integrating seamlessly with the Android ecosystem. Kanzi has become a preferred tool for intelligent cockpit UI development among leading automakers worldwide. To date, the Kanzi toolchain has supported production HMI deployments for more than 50 automotive brands worldwide, including Toyota, covering tens of millions of vehicles and providing efficient, reliable technical support for cockpit interface design and development.

The three-way strategic partnership marks the formal implementation of a collaborative model combining “system foundations + development tools + practical deployment” in intelligent cockpit HMI, setting a new benchmark for ecosystem-based industry development. Building on the agreement, the three parties will deepen cooperation in technology R&D, solution integration, and market expansion, bringing together their core strengths to create value centered on the user experience and contribute to the global automotive industry's transition toward intelligent technologies.
