JDO Named a 2025 Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institution, Strengthening Its Foundation for Intelligent Cockpit Innovation

On January 22, 2026, the Pudong New Area Science, Technology and Economy Commission published the proposed list of enterprise R&D institutions for 2025 in accordance with the Measures for the Recognition and Administration of Enterprise R&D Institutions in Pudong New Area (Pu Ke Jing Wei Gui [2025] No. 4). JDO was selected as one of 71 companies proposed for recognition. This recognition is an authoritative acknowledgment by government departments of JDO's R&D innovation and technology commercialization capabilities. It also marks a new stage in the development of its intelligent cockpit R&D system and core technological breakthroughs, adding momentum to technological innovation as Pudong develops into a pioneering area for socialist modernization.

JDO's recognition reflects more than a decade of R&D experience and strong technical capabilities in intelligent cockpits. Having grown from Zhangjiang's entrepreneurial environment, the company has consistently made R&D its core driving force. In core technology, it independently developed Canghai, an AI large model with 10 billion parameters, incorporating hundreds of thousands of hours of real-world in-vehicle interaction data. With multimodal perception, affective computing, and context prediction capabilities, it can process data from cameras, microphones, biosensors, and other sources in real time, transforming the cockpit from a “container of functions” into a “digital neural network.” In commercializing R&D results, the company holds more than 400 intellectual property assets, and some technologies have been applied across the more than 30 leading global automakers and more than 40 million production vehicles it serves. Models equipped with affective computing have seen user satisfaction improve by more than 20%.

For JDO, recognition as a Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institution is both an honor and a responsibility. Building on this milestone, JDO will make full use of policy support, continue increasing R&D investment, and pursue further technological breakthroughs with the Canghai large model in multimodal interaction and context-based services. It will also draw on the industrial ecosystem of Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town to strengthen R&D collaboration with universities, research institutes, and industry partners, bringing more intelligent cockpit innovations into practical use.
